We are seeking up to 2 Technical Instructors to join our professional and dynamic team, playing a key role within our Skills City operation and leading on delivery of The Creative Engine Programme at School of Digital Arts (SODA) Located in Manchester.
This programme is an exciting new initiative involving Unreal Engine, Motion Capture and Virtual Production. The ideal candidate will be a master of Unreal Engine and be familiar with pipelines used in Motion Capture and Virtual Production. This programme also involves helping the learners to work on a groundbreaking live entertainment project with dock10 and a leading broadcast production team.
We are an equal-opportunity employer and welcome all applications.
This is a contract role open for UK-based candidates for a 12 week duration aligning with our cohort start date (06 May 2025) that requires your full-time availability during the bootcamp period.
With approximately 25% of the teaching taking place in person at the motion capture and green screen virtual production facilities at SODA, we are ideally looking for local instructors who will be willing to travel to SODA and complement the teaching. There will be Motion Capture and Virtual Production technicians at SODA who will be delivering the teaching at these facilities; however we would expect the instructors to work with these technicians to ensure that the programme flows nicely between the online and in person teaching. There will also be the opportunity for these instructors to teach the cohorts in groups in other spaces at SODA, as the facilities cannot accommodate the entire cohort.
Another important aspect of the role will be integrating the dock10 project within the curriculum and support the learners in the creation of this content.
Therefore, we are looking for instructors who will support with designing the curriculum and communicate with our different stakeholders to ensure optimum outcome.
